59: Belief dissonance.

One of the most uncomfortable parts of growth is that funky phase when things are noticeably changing but not fully  transformed yet. It’s confusing, because it seems like being in two different places at the same time.

This process of change creates an inner conflict for our brain, called cognitive dissonance. In this episode I am explaining what cognitive dissonance is, why it’s an important milestone for us, and how to stay focused and clear so you can keep making progress on your goals.

The biggest takeaway is for you to be able to notice when you’re in this spot, and to remember that this is supposed to be happening. I see many business owners fall backward here - losing confidence or commitment because they think something has gone wrong. I promise that it hasn’t!

In this episode I give a specific example of changing a belief around money. With this example, we can see very clearly how the original belief is creating problems, and what changes in the process of building a new belief.

If you want to be in charge of your money, time, creative pursuits and more, I think you will really love this episode!
